Day 1: Arrival and Introduction to Bohinj
Upon arrival at Ljubljana airport, participants were greeted with a traditional snack \”to go,\” provided in sustainable packaging. After a short refreshment at Heritage Hotel Sunrose 7, a holder of Slovenia Green Accommodation, participants started a bike tour to the heart of Triglav National Park, surrounded by breath-taking greenery. They enjoyed a canoe ride and experienced the thrill of flying through the air like ski jumpers. Their visit left a long-lasting socially beneficial imprint, while simultaneously helping to revive a treasured part of the Bohinj heritage. Dinner was served at a local restaurant focusing on locally sourced ingredients.
